Luxembourg
Jour II
Nous nous sommes réveillés sous le soleil sur la terrasse de notre cabane au Camping du Nord le deuxième jour.

The breakfast club 🥐
The previous evening, we had ordered bread rolls from the bakery on the campsite, ready for pick-up at 8:30 AM. We brought our own toppings, fueling up for another day of hiking. This time, we left our heavy backpacks behind since we'd be returning to this campsite in the evening.

Exploring the Lee Trail
Today's hike covers another 18 kilometers with a 550-meter elevation gain. We walked 1 kilometer to the nearest bus stop to catch Bus 136 to Michelau at 10:55 AM. The Lee Trail, named after the Luxembourgish word for "ridge" ('lee'), is a renowned path designated as a "Leading Quality Trail - Best of Europe." Spanning a total length of 53 kilometers, this trail showcases Luxembourg's stunning landscapes, including lots of ridges, expansive forests, and charming villages along the route.

Lunch break in the woods
Take your lunch with you, find a great spot along the way and enjoy your break! Make sure to leave no trash behind.

Let's go on!
After lunch, we went on with our hike. The day ended in Ettelbruck, where we caught the bus back to Goebelsmühle: bus 136 departs hourly at 54 minutes past the hour from Ettelbruck at Gare Routière 2. It takes +/- 25 minutes to get back to the camping. Swipe through the photos for route details >>

Dinner next to the river
For dinner, we made a reservation at Restaurant Dirbach Plage. Conveniently located near the campsite, and right next to the river as well! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the menu had a variety of dishes. We had a great evening. We ended the day with drinks back at the campsite.
