Jour I
Nous avons commencé notre aventure à la gare de Kautenbach, où nous avons garé notre voiture et pris le train pour Michelau à 12h. Notre objectif pour la journée : randonner 18 kilomètres jusqu'au Camping du Nord, où nous passerons notre première nuit sur le Lee Trail.
Train ride & lunch break
It was a quick 7-minute train ride to the Michelau train station. Here, we had our lunch and prepared ourselves for the upcoming hike. And off we go! Prepare yourself for a steep start.
Hiking to Camping du Nord 🏕️
After getting off the train in Michelau and enjoying our lunch, we began our hike. Carrying our backpacks was challenging, especially with the 750 meters of elevation gain. So take plenty of breaks to rest and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way 😉 Around 6:15 PM, we finally arrived at Camping du Nord, situated next to the Sûre River. We were tired but fulfilled! Cozy evening at the camping
Setting up our camp, one of the girls taking a cold dip in the river, and just relaxing. Life is gooood 👌🏼 We were thrilled to discover a food truck at the campsite serving delicious Thai food. After a long day of hiking, this was the ultimate comfort food. Make sure to place your order before 7 PM. We ended the day on the cabin’s terrace, enjoying good food and laughter.
