Mountain magic
Hiking to mountain lakes (true paradise!) & visiting Ragusa.

Hiking Cavagrande National park
We spent the morning hiking to the paradise (according to me ☺️) mountain lakes of Cavagrande National Park. Fun fact: the park is actually officially closed since 2004 already, but people just climb over a (small) fence to reach the path. Park your car at Parcheggio Laghetti and from there, walk about 40 minutes downhill to the lakes. The hike back up isn’t for pussies!

Chill at Casa Balat
In the afternoon, we took the time to chill at the poolside of our beautiful holiday home, Casa Balat. It has a kitchen, so we cooked lunch for ourselves.

Evening in Ragusa
Ragusa is one of the cities in Sicily you must visit according to maaany travelguide guides, and so would I recommend! It has a very rich history and the houses, streets and buildings are a pleasure for the eye. You have to go to ‘Ragusa Ibla’ to have the best experience (it’s the older part of the city).
