Contrada Buonivini, Italy

Wine tasting at Planeta Buonivini

The planeta family is one of the most famous wine makers in Sicily. They have domains all over the island, so wherever you are in Sicily, you’ll be able to make a visit for a tasting. In Val di Noto, the domain is called ‘Planeta Buonivini’, where you can book a tasting accompanied by delicious local snacks. Book upfront via their website. We went for the ‘Grand Cru tasting’.

Marzamemi, Italy

Lunch at Marzamemi

From Planeta, you’re only 15’ away from Marzamemi, a small village that looks just like a movie decor. It’s very small and only the main square is interesting to see, yet very cozy!

Noto, Italy

Belvédère of Noto

Some time before sunset, take you rental car to the Belvédère of Noto, a mesmerizing viewpoint. From here you get a first row view on the village of Noto and the surrounding valley. When the sun really starts setting, get back in your car to Noto!

Noto, Italy

A night in Noto

Noto is a very, very beautiful city with impressive ancient buildings to admire. Simply stunning. Just walking around will already make you fall in love with Noto, however there’s one thing you must do: pay €2 in the chapel at the left of the main Cathedral to walk up to the roof of the chapel. From here you get a perfect view on the city center. So magical when the last rays of sunshine touch the beige buildings!
