Early wake up call for the chimps!
An early wake-up call which I don’t mind, as it was time for another monkey trekking. This time we got to meet our closest monkey relatives: the chimps! Did you know they share over 95% of DNA with us humans? And it truly shows: the emotions on their faces are touching 😊. We walked with a ranger for about 30’ to find them high up in the trees. After a while they climbed down, sat very chilled on the ground and we could join them so closely! What an experience. Be sure to book this way in advance. Again this is an expensive one, as it’s quite unique in the world. It costs €250 per person.
Relaxing afternoon at Turaco Treetops
Put on your swimwear, get out the board games, order a fresh beer and… relax! At this lodge, they even have a place reserved for Petanque and Kubb games.
