A quiet and peaceful day of doing nothing
Okay, a full day of doing nothing is an exaggeration, but we kind of just went with the flow today and did whatever we felt like doing. Chilled by the pool, went shopping and had some good food in the evening.
Dinner at Aqua by Lucas Maes
Honestly, for this day I have nothing interesting to tell you guys about, except for our dining experience at Restaurante Aqua. Aqua is led by chef Lucas Maes and is a ten-minute drive from Sholeo Lodges. The restaurant serves three different menus or you can order à la carte. We went for the short experience menu which included three small appetizers, these were amazing. Afterwards they served us ravioli with spinach, green asparagus, Canarian cheese and truffle and I've never eaten pasta this good. The main dish was pork cheek and to me it tasted a lot like stoofvlees (a Belgian meat stew), it was flavorful but not extraordinary. Besides food in a restaurant like this, the design and interior of the place are also important. I must say that in my opinion there wasn't much eye for detail and with some extra touches or improvements the atmosphere could have amazing potential. Overall it was a lovely experience with yummy food and personnel that were extremely kind and attentive, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend to go to Aqua. 🤓
