The butterfly and botanical gardens of Icod de Los Vinos

Another fairytale town we found was Icod de Los Vinos, with its butterfly garden and its centuries old tree which is the main highlight of the town.

Visiting Icod de Los Vinos

The drive to Icod de Los Vinos is as beautiful as the town itself, Tenerife is so versatile and you can really only tell once you've visited different locations on the island. The town isn't very big, but it is very lively. We went to view the centuries old tree, for which Icod de Los Vinos is known. Honestly so, so beautiful. Two elders were playing guitar and singing in the background, there were others selling handmade jewelry (which we bought because the necklaces were gorgeous) and the general atmosphere was just so open. At the bottom of the hill, we found the Mariposario del Drago. A butterfly park which is a must visit when you're there. We had a super peaceful and energizing day! 🦋

Dinner at Restaurante Pancho

For our last evening we decided to have dinner close to Sholeo Lodges and we spotted a super cute restaurant a couple of days before called Pancho. Not only the location and setting were beautiful but the food was amazing as well. A definite go-to in case you're in the neighborhood!
