Albania
From Berat to Gjirokaster
We took our car and drove three hours to another beautiful town, Gjirokaster. You might think 3 hours is a while, but driving in Albania is an adventure in itself and you get entertained the entire way with beautiful views (and often a few sheep ;-) )

Woke up and ate breakfast in Berat
The breakfast was to die for!! A perfect introduction to the local breakfast cuisine, for extremely low prices.
3 hour drive

Gjirokaster old town
Lunch, cocktails, tea and sweets in a beautiful setting - we love to eat and drink ;-) The tea was at a super cosy cafe where an old man served us a special mountain tea with sweets he recommended (bakllava :-) )

Gjirokaster Castle
Stunning views and a bit of insight in Gjirokaster and Albania's history. 400 LEK pp.
Best cocktails in Gjirokaster!
We tried many of the cocktails on the menu, it was a good night ;-)

Dinnertime
We had dinner at one of the most popular restaurants in Gjirokaster, named Kujtimi. Had to wait in line for a bit (so popular), but it was definitely worth it!

Time for bed
Because we were scammed with an airbnb reservation (Albania ;-) ), we bumped into a woman who had an apartment for rent (Vrenjo Guesthouse) for the night and gave us an incredible price (also Albania ;-) ).
