Visit Wat Si Don Chai

Wat Si Don Chai is the first temple ever built in Pai, and it’s truly one of the most beautiful in the area. Inside, you’ll find intricate golden decorations, but the real showstopper is the colorful painting right at the entrance! Its intricate details are simply breathtaking. 😍

A 20-minute drive will take you to your next destination.

Cross the Pai Memorial Bridge

The Pai Memorial Bridge was constructed by Japanese soldiers during World War II. While the original bridge was destroyed in the 1980s, the current structure, which runs parallel to the modern highway bridge, is still impressive to see. It’s open 24 hours a day, and admission is free.

Watch the sunset at Pai Canyon

As the day draws to a close we take you to Pai Canyon, also known as Kong Lan. This place will give you a mesmerizing sunset experience, with breathtaking natural beauty all around you. We do warn you, some parts of the paths will be super narrow with no railing or safeguards. But, you don’t have to do anything crazy to secure an amazing spot! We arrived half an hour before sunset and found a cozy, secluded place that we had all to ourselves. The panoramic views of the canyon and surrounding forests really were something else. Seeing the sky turn gold, with the sun disappearing behind the mountains… Magical! We highly suggest bringing some snacks and refreshments, but do know that alcohol or littering is forbidden.
