Explorer encore plus de Jaipur
Aujourd'hui, nous plongeons au cœur de Jaipur. Des lacs scintillants aux palais majestueux, préparez-vous pour une journée pleine d'aventures et de découvertes !
Start your day at Jal Mahal
Start your second day Jaipur adventure with a visit to the mesmerizing Jal Mahal, also known as the Water Palace. This beautiful building can be found right in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, an artificial lake that was created over 400 years ago. They made it so that it looks like this picturesque palace is floating on the surface of the lake. So cool to see! The only thing that is too bad, is that you can't enter the palace. That doesn’t mean that you can’t admire its beauty from the banks of the lake, though! Maybe this changes in the future? We heard that the company that got the 99y lease of the Water Palace has big plans to build a tourism destination around the Jal Mahal. One can hope!

Explore City Palace
Next up: the magnificent City Palace, a splendid complex that showcases Jaipur's royal heritage. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the palace has a blend of different architectures and styles. We found it super cool, because no building inside it looked the same! Take for instance the Mubarak Mahal, where royal costumes and weaponry are showcased. It is a mix of Mughal, Rajput, and even European style architecture. How cool is it that all those styles blend together in one? But of course there’s more to see and do here, like taking a stroll in the courtyard. Or why not go the full “Royal Splendour”-route and explore some rooms of the Chandra Mahal? This does come at an extra cost of around 40 euros, however :-)
Une courte promenade vous mènera à votre prochain arrêt (1 min).
Discover a collection of 19 astronomical instruments at Jantar Mantar
Prepare to be amazed as you explore Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built in the 18th century. Here you can find a big collection of architectural instruments designed to measure time and track the sun and moon with very good precision. It’s incredible to think about how they came up with all this magic so long ago! Jantar Mantar really is a testament to the scientific knowledge of ancient India if you ask us. Don't miss the iconic sundial, the largest stone sundial in the world, which accurately measures time to within two seconds. This large, yellow instrument was definitely our favorite of the bunch, just for its amazing shape!
Un trajet de 30 minutes vous mènera à votre dernier arrêt de la journée.
End your day at the gorgeous Patrika Gate
End your day at Patrika Gate, a vibrant entrance to Jawahar Circle Garden. This building is one of Jaipur’s latest landmarks, as it was built by Media Group Patrika in 2016. It’s a building that attracts attention from afar, with its beautiful pink color, amazing murals, and decorative arches. Patrika Gate is a popular spot for photography enthusiasts, and gives you endless opportunities for capturing stunning images with this beautiful building in the background. It won’t surprise you that, as Golden Hour approaches, more and more wedding couples come here to shoot their wedding pictures and videos. And who could blame them! It’s the perfect way to end the day, or in this case, your holiday in India :-).
