Start your day with some shopping at Rockefeller Center
Rockefeller Center is an entertainment and shopping complex, located in the heart of midtown Manhattan. It is a very vibrant place with lots of stores, so don't forget your wallet! Bonus points when visiting during Christmas: admire the huge iconic Christmas tree in front of the ice-skating rink!
Outstanding views at Top of the Rock
The Top of the Rock Observation Deck is located inside Rockefeller Center. There are three floors with indoor and outdoor viewing spaces, get ready for insane views of New York City! It remains magical to be able to admire all of New York from above.
Pour continuer votre voyage à travers NYC, quittez le Top of the Rock Observation Deck et dirigez-vous vers le nord sur la 6ème Avenue pendant environ 9 pâtés de maisons jusqu'à atteindre la 59ème Rue. En chemin, vous passerez par le célèbre Radio City Music Hall et verrez certains des plus hauts bâtiments de Midtown Manhattan. Si vous avez envie d'un léger détour, tournez à droite sur la 51ème rue et dirigez-vous vers l'est vers la Cinquième Avenue. Cet itinéraire vous fera passer devant le luxueux Trump Tower et le célèbre Apple Flagship Store avant d'atteindre votre prochaine destination. Ne vous inquiétez pas si vous préférez rester sur l'itinéraire principal, il vous conduira directement à votre prochain arrêt en un peu plus de 10 minutes.
Stroll through Central park
Another must-do is walking around Central Park. Everyone has undoubtedly seen Central Park in a series or movie, but strolling around here is the best way to get a glimpse of the authentic New York City life. The park is so big you can spend hours here! Take a stroll along the scenic walking paths, rent a boat on the tranquil lake, catch a performance at the famous Delacorte Theater, or explore the many museums and galleries that call the park home. The possibilities are endless!
Pour continuer votre aventure, nous prenons le carrousel de Central Park (hauteur de la 64e rue) et nous dirigeons vers l'ouest en direction des principaux sentiers du parc. Cela prendra environ 20 minutes à pied pour atteindre votre prochaine destination. En chemin, vous aurez la chance de voir certains des endroits les plus pittoresques de Central Park, comme Sheep Meadow, où vous pourrez vous détendre sur l'herbe et profiter de la vue, ainsi que Strawberry Fields, une zone tranquille et paisible dédiée à la mémoire de John Lennon. Gardez un œil sur la faune du parc, comme les écureuils et les oiseaux, qui font souvent une apparition !
Visit the American Museum of Natural History
If you’re into history, make sure to visit the American Museum of Natural History! In addition to a planetarium, cafeteria and library, it has no less than 45 permanent exhibitions halls. You’ll find countless fossils, animals, plants, minerals, rocks and so much more here. We really liked the dinosaur floor, where all the dinosaur skeletons (real ones and “life-like” replicas) can be found. Truly fascinating!
