Check-in at Soho Boutique hotel

Our workation started in style with a stay at the beautiful Soho Boutique Hotel in the heart of Santander. This hotel knows how to blend old and new well. In terms of the room, you can expect spacious rooms, a wonderfully soft bed, and a small desk to work at. We even had a small attic with extra space to relax. They also have a cozy open space, perfect for working in peace. The location couldn't have been better for us: right by the bay (ideal for sunrise) and within walking distance of the nicer boutiques and cozy restaurants.

Lunch on the promenade

There is nothing more relaxing than having lunch in the sunshine. We chose not to have an elaborate lunch so that we could finish our workday on time. That's why we went for a take-away from Mamasana, poke bowls with many vegan options!

Time to explore the city

After a productive workday, it's time to explore the city. The shops stay open until 8:00 PM, giving you time to enjoy shopping after work. Santander has something for everyone, even the larger chains if you're looking for them. Our favorite streets are next to Plaza de Pombo, like C. Hernán Cortés, where you'll find, for example, Doméstica, a home decor shop. But so much more!

Culinary Santander

After shopping, it's aperitif time! The nice terraces are just around the corner from the hotel! On the first evening, we did as the locals do, we ate the famous pinchos and hopped from bar to bar. Wine is much cheaper here compared to Belgium, without compromising on quality! So our wallet was also happy in Santander ;-). Start on Calle de La Peña Herbosa and see where the evening ends.
