Bucket list hike to Lake O'Hara
Lake O'Hara, with its challenging trails, few crowds and exclusive allure, promises an unforgettable trip through pristine nature. End the day with well-deserved relaxation at the lodge.

Bucket list hike to Lake O'Hara
At an elevation of 2,000 meters, Lake O'Hara is a prime backcountry hiking destination in the Canadian Rockies. The must-do hike at Lake O'Hara is the one to the Opabin Plateau. The entire hike spans 8.4 km, but a shortcut allows you to trim it to about 5 km. To preserve this unique gem, access to Lake O'Hara is regulated by a shuttle bus, and reservations through National Park services are a must. Tickets are very limited and if you find yourself without one, hiking 11 km uphill is the only alternative. It’s a steady climb with the steepest part at the end. Driving and cycling on the road to the lake is prohibited. More shuttles head down than up, increasing your chances of catching a ride back.
Return to Eleven22 for dinner
Given Golden's small size and Eleven22's great first impression, a return visit is highly recommended.
