Warsaw activity : seeking old chapels in Praga neighbourhood
Activity
free
Cross the Vistula river and explore the Praga neighbourhood. This part of Warsaw was mostly spared by the bombings in WWII and offers authentic architecture. It was long seen as more authentic and dangerous, but has nowadays evolved into an up and coming place to discover bars, art, industrial history. The cultural difference between this authentic part of the city and Warsaw's busy city center make it worth to cross the Vistula!
During WWII, the inhabitants of the Praga neighbourhood used to provide little chapels all around the place, that can still be found today. Seeking those chapels is an exciting way to discover the neighbourhood, going places you never thought you could reach. Most of them are labeled on Google Maps (search for Kaplica to find the best results!).
