Rent a boat at the Agios Sostis Harbor

Inform yourself regarding rates and packages, and make sure you have a boat available for (at least) 3 hours. There are tons of places at the shore that let you rent a boat, so just compare them to get the best deal. You don’t need a driver’s license for this, which is really easy and such a fun experience. However, you must take into account that you can only sail up to certain parts in the water if you don’t have a license. Don’t worry about this, the boat rental place will explain you all about it.

Turtle spotting at Laganas Bay

The first stop during your boat trip is Laganas Bay. Here you can do some turtle spotting, such an incredible experience! Follow the glass bottom boats and large tour boats, as they specialize in finding turtles. The benefit of having your own boat, is that you can sail in front of all the big boats to get the best views! Depending on how long you rented the boat, this activity can take up to one hour, more if you’re a turtle-enthusiast!

Swimming at the Keri Caves

Satisfied with all your turtle spotting? Dive into crystal clear water and explore the Keri caves by swimming! The drive from Laganas Bay to Keri caves takes around 15 minutes, so put on some music and enjoy the ride. Visiting the Keri Caves will definitely be one of your highlights of your boat trip! It has everything: sunbathing, relaxing, swimming, listening to music… Can't get enough of caves? Make sure to sail to Keri Cape as well, the farthest point you are allowed to sail to. Also here you will find some caves and it is great to dive into the water and swim around.

Sail back to the Agios Sostis Harbor

Time to bring your boat back! On the way to the harbor you will encounter a few more highlights like Marathonisi (Turtle Island) and Cameo Island, where you can spot the white flags from afar. Depending on how long you have left, these places are definitely cool to visit, too.

Enjoy an authentic meal at El Greco

This family-run restaurant is just up the steep road that brought you to the harbor. It is a cozy restaurant with authentic Greek dishes that will blow you away. Even the homemade moussaka left us wanting for more. On top of all this, the prices are really low and the view of the harbor is stunning. We really recommend having lunch or dinner here whilst you’re in the neighborhood!
