Go on excursion to Navagio Beach and the Blue Caves
Today you will discover the parts of the island you were not allowed to sail to yesterday, including the famous Shipwreck Cove! All major attractions in Zakynthos will be covered today. Let’s get to it!
Admire the famous Shipwreck Cove
The first stop of the excursion is Navagio Beach, where you can find the famous Shipwreck Cove. The beach itself and the unreal blue water is absolutely gorgeous. However, it gets very crowded here, it is more about admiring the shipwreck than sunbathing and swimming. The earlier your excursion, the less people that will be there. Usually you have around an hour and a half to spend here, so do some sunbathing and snorkeling, but watch out for the boats!
Marvel at the Blue Caves
Next up: the Blue Caves! Marvel at the magnificent caves in the turquoise water. This is such a magical setting that it seems unreal. Don't forget to take some pictures! Depending on which excursion you picked, you’ll also spend some time here. So jump off the boat and swim around the area to really immerse yourself in this magnificent place.
Enjoy the shipwreck view from the top of the cliffs
In the morning you already got to admire the shipwreck up close, now it's time to see the beach and the shipwreck from above. A completely different experience! It is really easy to get here (any maps app will take you there). You can follow the signs or follow Google Maps to the viewing platform, where you’ll even find little stands that sell some drinks, ice cream or snacks. Hikers will love it here, because if you want the best view you’ll have to walk over the hill. There are several treks that take you there (long ones, shorter ones, more scenic…) so put on your hiking shoes, and let’s go!
