The Golden Circle in Iceland is a route consisting of three stunning locations in the Southwest Iceland. The route starts in the capital, Reykjavik, and it takes about one day to complete. The three main attractions are: Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir Geothermal Area and the Gullfoss Waterfall.
During our trip, we decided to skip the Thingvellir National Park, and we chose to drive to the Langjokull ice cap. As such, we ended up with visiting the magnificent Geysirs, the Gullfoss waterfall, and to have a walk on the Langjokull ice cap. For those who want, you also pass the Blue Lagoon at the end of the trip, it's one of the most famous attractions of Iceland.
