Safari in Amboseli National Park
Waking up in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro is a true pinch-me moment. Set off early to explore Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust place,” but this park is anything but barren. Known for its open landscapes, marshy areas, and herds of elephants, it’s a must-visit for any nature lover. After a full day of game drives, return to Kibo Safari Camp.

Full day in Amboseli National Park
Amboseli is located in the southeast on the border with Tanzania. The view of Kilimanjaro is fantastic, especially at sunrise. That's why you leave early for a full-day safari in the park. Some of the largest elephants in Africa can be spotted here, as well as an abundance of giraffes, zebras, lions, wild dogs and antelopes. The marshy areas of Amboseli attract many birds. And if you're lucky, you can spot rhinos and leopards. The park is relatively flat and has little forest, which makes the wildlife easy to see.
