Sri Lanka
Unawatuna, Sri Lanka
Unawatuna is one the most popular areas in the Southern part of Sri Lanka. Unawatuna has beautiful beaches and is perfect to stay a few days. The town itself is small, but has nice restaurants and shops.

Dalawella Beach
The main beach of Unawatuna is a wide-stretched beach which is very popular (crowded) with tourists and locals. Just a few minutes away from Unawatuna beach you will find Dalawella Beach, which is absolutely amazing. From turtles to rope swings, it has it all.

Frog Rock
You can find Frog Rock between Dalawella Beach and Wijaya Beach. This big rock, in the shape of a frog, sticks out of the sand and just into the ocean. You can clips the rock, but it’s a bit dangerous climb so be careful.

Turtles at Wijaya Beach
Wijaya Beach, next to Dalawella Beach, famous in the region for the many turtles swimming right off the beach here. They swim into the lagoon, so you don’t even have to snorkel to have an encounter with these beautiful sea creatures. Just wander through the water and watch them swim by in the crystal clear ocean. You will not miss them, because the turtles are huge here! 🐢

Catch sunset
Wijaya Beach or Dalawella Beach is the perfect spot to catch the beautiful sunsets of Sri Lanka. With the rope swing and Frog Rock, it’s one the most instagrammed places for sunset.
Or take the Tuktuk
