Sri Lanka
Galle - the colonial South West of Sri Lanka
Galle is the last stop on our journey in Sri Lanka. It's a small town in the south-western part of the island. Galle has a unique look, completely different from everything else you've seen throughout your journey in Sri Lanka.

Galle Fort
Galle is located along the South Coast of Sri Lanka and is known for its Fort. Galle Fort covers an area of over 400 historic places and is recognized as a UNESCO heritage site. You will find beautiful European style buildings still here today You can start your tour from the Old Gate, where you find the clock tower. From here you can choose to walk through the city center or you can follow and walk over the city wall to enjoy the outer ring of the town and the ocean view. The walk around the fort is about 2km. The Lighthouse, on the southeastern part of the fort, is the icon of the town, bordered by palm trees and the ocean. Enjoy the nice bars and souvenirs shops in the small streets of Galle.
Relaxing afternoon at the pool
After spending a hot morning exploring Galle Fort, it's time to relax and cool down before the long flight back home.
