Climb Lion Rock and Safari
The following day, we decide to ascend Lion Rock early to avoid the morning crowds. Although the entrance tickets are a bit too high, we undertake the ascent with determination. The morning light enhances the rock's allure. Overcoming the height challenge, we reach the summit for a rewarding view. In the afternoon it’s time for a safari. Opting for a smaller park, Huluru Eco Park, proves to be a rewarding choice. Our guide ensures a memorable experience, spotting over twenty elephants scattered throughout the park.

Climb Lion Rock
The most scenic place in Sigiraya is without a doubt the Lion Rock. We had climbed the Pidurangala Rock the day prior to this hike, and really wanted to stand on top of this rock. But, the entrance tickets are really expensive. You pay $30 for an adult and $15 for a child. So take this into consideration.
A 4x4 jeep can pick you up at your hotel.

Elephant Safari in Hurulu Eco Parc
Elephant safaris in Hurulu Eco Park offer a unique and unforgettable wildlife experience. Located close to Sigiraya, this park is known for its rich biodiversity and stunning natural beauty. You’ll have to book a jeep safari to see herds of elephants, various bird species, and other wildlife. This parc is smaller and lesser known than other parcs in Sri Lanka, but well worth the visit.
