On our way to Mars
Wadi Rum is a very cool experience for your trip to Jordan and should definitely be one of the first things on your planning. We stayed in a Bubble hotel -but no longer on Google/Booking, which does not surprise us- that gave an extra dimension to our stay in the desert. However, these hotels come with a price, and I did not think it was worth staying two nights. One full day in Wadi Rum should give you the full experience of the area. We arrived around noon and had a jeep tour in the northern part of Wadi Rum that showed us around some places where movies were shot (they gave it the original name "The movie tour"). However, we did not think this tour gave much added value to our time in Wadi Rum.
Movie tour in a jeep
We had a jeep tour across the northern part of the desert, which was called 'The movie tour'. A little bit of a waste of time, but especially money, as the second day we went for a full tour across the desert that was much more worth it. Our tip for Wadi Rum: arrive early, do a full day tour. You will be stunned with the views and enjoyed your day, without having the overkill of two similar tours.
