Swakopmund, Namibia
Swakopmund is one of Namibia's most famous beautiful coastal towns, located about 350 km west of the country's capital Windhoek. Swakopmund is a charming little town, sandwiched between the massive Namib Desert and the South Atlantic Ocean. It’s a must-see stop when touring through this beautiful country. There are plenty things to do in the area. Here are a few stops you can do along your roadtrip.

Drive along the Skeleton Coast
The secluded Skeleton Coast of Namibia is an interesting place to visit. A drive along the coast is an adventure on its own. The name comes from several shipwrecks that can be found along the coast. Some of the wrecks are worth a stop.
You can combine visiting this place with a drive along the Skeleton Coast. Cape Cross is 130 km north of Swakopmund.

Watch seals at Cape Cross
Cape Cross is a nature reserve that is home to the largest land colony of Cape Fur seals. At Cape Cross, about 80,000 Cape fur seals gather, turning the beach black due to their large numbers. It is one of the not-to-miss places in Namibia. Visitors can walk on boardwalks between the seals so they aren’t disturbed by human presence. If you’re a nature photography lover Cape Cross is a fantastic place for taking close-by photos of the seals.
