Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges
Early wakeup call to visit Mistico Hanging Bridges! Only a 20min drive away from the hotel. Tickets are €29 and best to buy them in advance on their official website. The doors open at 6am and I recommend going first time slot, because there won’t be alot of people yet, you have better chance of seeing more animals and no one on the hanging bridges (which is better for the pics 😉) The trail is about 3km long and include 6 hanging bridges and 10 normal throughout the forest trail. If you want to know more about the fauna&flora or wildlife spotting opt for a guide. We didn’t do this because we were visiting other national parks, but know that there is the option to do it. Ps: take a poncho with you bc is very humid up there!
Healthy lunch
After spending the morning up in the clouds you will likely be very hungry and “Organico Fortuna” is the perfect spot to have lunch. Located in the city centre which means after lunch you can wander around abit or head out to our next stop of the day!
El salto rope swing
You can choose to come here on foot (23min walk) or by car which is only 4min! You can park your car on the side of the road but it will likely be very busy. El salto (jump in spanish) rope swing is the perfect place to cool off a bit and see the locals jump and do amazing tricks into the water.
