Suspension bridges of Tsitsikamma

To end our 2 days on the Garden Route, we went for a daytrip from Stanley Island to Tsitsikamma National Park. And although it was a misty and rainy day, we were mesmerized by the scenery and the famous suspension bridges.

The bridges of Tsitsikamma National Park

Tsitsikamma National Park is a known stop along your Garden Route road trip. We were looking forward to the famous suspension bridges over the delta of Storms River. The day we visited the park, was wet & misty. On our way to the park we passed the famous bungee jump bridge and we literally couldn't see more than 2 meters in front of our car. Nevertheless, even in this rainy weather conditions this place is magical. The rainforest environment combined with a stormy coast and the suspension bridges makes it worth a stop. After your stroll to the bridges and back, you can refill your energy level on the beach at the food station shack. For the real adventure seekers you can rent a kayak and go for a trip underneath the bridges. (With waves between 2 and 5 meters high, we weren't too keen on going into the water. 🙈)
