Perfect local breakfast at Maison La Minervetta

Start your day on the idyllic terrace of the most beautiful hotel in Sorrento: Maison La Minervetta. They serve literally all the good that Italy has to offer: the best salami, a perfect selection of cheeses and a lot of sweets. And of course, you can't start the day without a delicious cappuccino. Little watch-out: the seagulls also like the food over here ;-) So watch your plate. Buongiorno, Sorrento! P.S.: if you're not a hotel guest, make sure to book your table in advance.

Morning dip in the pool or sea

If you're a hotel guest: spend the next couple of hours at the calming plunge pool of the hotel. The view on Mount Vesuvius in combination with the sound of talking fishermen (the harbour is right below the hotel) is the pérfect holiday feeling. If you're not a hotel guest: book a sunbed in the Sorrento marina for a few hours and enjoy the sun and the sea. Nice place to swim and see the bustling Italian life over here. Enjoy!

Relaxing boat tour with lunch

Now jump on the authentic boat of the even more authentic Francesco of Li Galli Charter. He is anything you'd ever want when dreaming of a boat tour along the Amalfi Coast. The boat is comfortable, the local food he serves is great and the stories he tells are even greater. Based on your wishes, he creates a tour along the most beautiful spots in Sorrento and the neighbouring cities. Be sure to stop for a swim (he'll let you catch a fish! And you can safely return it to the sea afterwards :-) ) and just take in the wonderful views. Pick-up spot: wherever you want - in the case of this day, the Sorrento harbour is the perfect spot.

Sunset drinks at the Sorrento Marina

This typical Italian day gets even better at sunset, when you enjoy a fresh limoncello or Aperol Spritz in the Sorrento Harbour. Cooking nonna's on the left, busy fishermen on the right. And right in front of you: the sun setting. What a perfect day. Doesn't really matter which cafe or restaurant you pick our for your drink, all of them are very cosy.

Local dinner at Porta Marina

Don't move too much this evening: stay in the harbour for your dinner. I chose Porta Marina (a recommendation from the owner of Maison La Minervetta) and enjoyed a fresh lobster pasta for €20. Delicious!
