If you're a foodie visiting London for just a day, buckle up because you're about to eat your way through this city.
My first stop was Arome Bakery, where I had their Butter Honey Toast. Sounds simple, right? Well, sometimes simple is exactly what you need. Crispy, buttery, sweet, this toast will make you wonder why you ever bothered with anything else for breakfast. Who knew something so basic could taste so divine?
After that, I made my way to Borough Market, which is basically heaven for anyone who believes food is the answer to all of life’s problems. There, I had The Black Pig's truffle sandwich with pulled pork. Let me tell you, this sandwich was so good, it should have had its own Netflix series. Pulled pork melting in your mouth like it’s making a break for freedom, just chef’s kiss.
For dinner, I found myself at 40 Dean Street, a cozy little spot in Soho that feels like a hidden gem. The pasta and seafood were divine, so good in fact, that I considered marrying the chef. The dessert? Oh honey, it was like the cherry on top of a very delicious cake. It was the kind of dessert that made me question why I ever settled for anything less in my life.
Mid afternoon, I had a taco at CDMW Tacos, and it was like taking a mini vacation to Mexico without the passport. Authentic, bold, and packed with flavor, the taco was street food perfection.
Finally, I ended my day with cupcakes from Crumbs and Doilies. If you haven’t had one of their cupcakes, I’m sorry, but your life is incomplete. Seriously, do yourself a favor and grab one, because you deserve it.
Moral of the story? I came, I ate, and I conquered. London’s food scene is like a never ending buffet of deliciousness, and I’m not mad about it.
