A visit to the spectacular viewpoint of El Golfo

A visit to El Golfo in Lanzarote is an absolute must. It boasts a spectacular landscape painted with vibrant colors, where the contrast of the emerald green lagoon against the black volcanic sands is simply spectacular. Explore the unique geological formations and witness the power of nature at work. You can park your car on the parking lot and walk down the beach (with pitch black sand) or to the viewpoint from where you have a great view over the green lake. There is a little café where you can drink something on the terrace in the back with a spectacular view of the cast of El Golfo.

Enjoy lunch and a beach swim in Playa Blanca

When travelling with kids, a beach escapade is a must! The town of Playa Blanca is an ideal location for some down time with kids. This charming town has some resorts but is also adorned with idyllic beaches and cozy beach bars offering the best views. Sheltered from the wind, it provides a picturesque vista of Fuerteventura, while the kids delighted in spotting crabs. If we would ask the kids, these crabs were definitely one of the highlights of the holiday ;-). There were a few nice beach bars and we loved Playa dorada. This bar had an excellent view over the beach so the kids played while we enjoyed a cocktail. We also had the Paella here for lunch and it was great. The boulevard is nice and there are a number of (souvenir) shops in this little town. The bougainvilla flowers blooming on the boulevard were stunning!

The the rocky road to Playa Mujeres. The dirt road is worth the view afterwards!

Admire the magnificent beach Playa Mujeres

Our visit to Playa Mujeres was unforgettable. This breathtaking beach remains unspoiled, with no amenities, but the views are absolutely stunning. Beacuse the beach is so big, it doesn't feel crowded. There is a parking right next to it. If you have the time, also visit the neighbouring beach of Playa Papagaio, the most iconic beach of Lanzarote.
