The Vatican and local dinner
A must see while visiting Rome is undoubtedly the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Marvel at all the beauty this world-renowned museum has to offer! End your day with a delightful local dinner at Da Enzo al 29.

Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel
The Vatican Museums is a world-renowned museum located in Vatican City that houses some of the most important pieces of artwork in the world. It is really big here, in our opinion you cannot have seen everything in one day. Put on your walking shoes, you will be surprised how many steps you take here! They do have multiple cafeterias to take a quick lunch or coffee break, which is nice. The Sistine Chapel is also part of the Vatican Museums, here you can find Michelangelo’s masterpiece, The Last Judgement. The detailed decorations in the painted artwork are truly magnificent. Keep in mind it can get crowded here, and: no photos!
As mentioned before, the Vatican Museums-site is so big, that you’d probably spend hours and hours there. Once you’re done, you’ll be begging to take a rest! We got you covered. A 10 minute walk separates you from a well-deserved break.

Have a drink at Terrazza Les Étoiles
Time for another rooftop bar with insane views of Rome! At Terrazza Les Étoiles you can spot Castel Sant’Angelo and St. Peter’s Basilica from pretty closeby, among other monuments. There are two floors, be sure to take a look on the top floor too! The views there are even more magnificent. They have a range of (sparkling) wines, but also have an extensive cocktails menu. They do also offer food here, just keep in mind that it is quite expensive (for the drinks as well). But, in our opinion, well worth it!
We recommend drinking and eating enough, because our next stop is one that’s again full of exploring, walking, and amazement. And, maybe, you already saw it in the distance today…

Visit the St. Peter’s Basilica
The most famous church in Christendom, St. Peter’s Basilica, cannot be missed during your visit to Rome. Admission is free but be prepared to queue for a while! Once you are inside, the impressive basilica will make you quickly forget the long waits, though. The architecture and decoration are simply divine. Both Michelangelo and Bernini contributed to the design, making it one of the most beautiful buildings in the world.
The next (and last) stop of the day, is one you can’t really do on foot - at least, we wouldn’t recommend it. After all, you’ve already gone a long way today. So, treat yourself to a comfortable taxi ride that will take you to the lovely Trastevere neighbourhood for an amazing dinner. Stubborn on walking? Walk along the Tiber River for about 45 minutes until your final stop.

Local dinner at Da Enzo al 29
No visit to Rome is complete without tasting one of the four roman pasta dishes. Da Enzo al 29 is the perfect spot to try one of these dishes! This cozy little restaurant offers delicious local dishes with fresh ingredients. It is one of the most famous restaurants in Rome, which also explains the long wait times. They don’t take reservations, so being on time is a must! Prices are really affordable here, and the quality of the food is *cheff’s kiss*.
