I just visited Eska Restaurant and Bakery in Karlín, Prague, and honestly, it was such a treat. The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by the smell of freshly baked bread and the sounds of a real working bakery. I loved sitting right in the middle of it all, with the open kitchen and ovens around me, watching the bakers and chefs do their thing. It made the whole experience feel so alive and authentic.
Eska is located in an old textile factory, and they’ve kept that industrial charm with the high ceilings, exposed pipes, big windows. They combined it with a really warm, modern vibe. For the food, they use traditional Czech ingredients and techniques like fermentation, wood-fire cooking, and sourdough baking, but in a very contemporary way. I had the breakfast option (which they serve until late afternoon!).
