Austria
The third day in Vienna: a cycling tour through the city and an opera concert
We started the third day with a guided 3 hour cycling tour through the city to see all the gorgeous buildings. We ended the day with an opera concert!

Cycling through the city
We experienced Vienna on this 3-hour bike tour, and discovered the magnificent city's highlights and landmarks. During the activity a guide gave a lot of information about the history of the city and it ancient buildings. It was nice to learn more about Vienna while cycling through the city! Ride along the Ringstraße, passing the famous sights including the Staatsoper (State Opera), the Austrian Parliament Building, the Burgtheater, and the Rathaus (town hall), then continue into the first district, where St. Stephen's Cathedral rises impressively above Stephansplatz. Follow the Donau Canal past Urania and through the Stadtpark, over Karlsplatz with the magnificent Karlskirche, then return to the starting point.

Lunch at Treu am Platzl 1080
After our cycle experience through the city we had lunch at this location. The food was delicious and the interior was very pleasant. They also have nice terrace but unfortunately this was full. This is a popular place so make sure to book a table.

Tapas at Neni am Prater
Located on the roof of the Superbude hotel, Neni am Prater offers a dining experience with a playful view: the rooftop offers a panorama view over the Prater amusement parc. Besides the view is the food with the Mediterranean-Israeli flavors also absolutely fingerlicking! We chose to share some dishes but you can also choose to have your own proper dish. There are three Neni restaurants in Vienna: 1. Neni am Prater: rooftop with view over the Prater amusement parc 2. Neni am Naschmarkt: a restaurant in the middle of the vibrant Naschmarkt (market) 3. Neni am Wasser: bohemian paradise in the heart of Vienna's Danube Canal

Mozart and Strauss concert
An "opera concert" in Palais Palffy. A Viennese orchestra performed a one hour concert, 16 songs, with the most famous works of Mozart and Strauss (the sounds of Vienna's cultural heritage). The orchestra was accompanied by two opera singers and two dancers. The tickets also give you acces to the city library. Honestly, I liked the performance but the hall itself looked like the city hall of a local town. The orchestra was performing on a stage but the singers and dancers weren't on a platform. They were sometimes hard to watch. We bought tickets on the streets near the real opera but you can probably find them online too.
