Petra - Village life by the sea

Petra is a charming village on the northern coast of Lesbos, with small, narrow streets that make walking around a real pleasure. We climbed up to the old castle above the village, and the views from there were stunning. You could see the whole coast of Petra. From the town center, you can enjoy a peaceful walk along the water down to the beaches, great for a relaxed day by the sea. Keep in mind that, like many Greek villages, Petra has a siesta in the afternoon. For lunch or dinner, I highly recommend stopping by the Women’s Cooperative of Petra. I had lunch there myself, and the fresh, tasty food served in such a welcoming setting really stood out. Petra perfectly combines traditional village charm with a calm seaside vibe. - This trip was in collaboration with Eliza was here.

Women's Cooperative of Petra

At the Women’s Cooperative of Petra, you don’t just eat, you experience Greek hospitality at its finest. Run by a passionate group of local women, this place feels like stepping into a warm family home by the sea. Simple, honest flavors made with love and paired with stunning views. It’s the kind of spot where you leave feeling both full and truly welcomed. After we had lunch we got the most delicious honey, lemon cake from the house. - This trip was in collaboration with Eliza was here.

Charming Molyvos

Molyvos is one of the most beautiful towns on Lesbos. Built on a hillside, it offers wide views over the sea, with narrow streets full of character. You’ll find traditional stone houses, flowering balconies, and little shops for a perfect touristy shopping session. We came across a great local bakery where they serve warm, buttery croissants in the morning. The walk from the centre down to the harbor is one of the nicest parts of town, the sea is always in view, and along the way, you pass cozy terraces with simple chairs and tables set outside, ready for a good meal. Down at the harbor, the restaurants all come with a great view. I think every moment of the day is nice to spend in Molyvos but I do recommend going there in the late afternoon. - This trip is in collaboration with Eliza was here.
