Arrival at Sholeo Lodges Los Gigantes!
A first day exploring the hotel and its gorgeous & serene neighborhood.
Exploring Sholeo Lodges & its serene neighbourhood
Since we arrived at Sholeo Lodges in the late afternoon, we decided to just stay close and explore the neighborhood. We've been going to Tenerife ever since we were little, but always stayed in Puerto Colón. This was our first time in Los Gigantes! Our trip was organized by Spanjeworkation, a company focused on promoting remote working in Spain. Sholeo Lodges recently became on of their partners and is the perfect place to stay for a workation! They've got a co-working space, a gym and a relax zone where they organise morning activities like pilates and yoga to kick-off the day. At only a five-minute walk from the hotel we found Playa La Arena, a gorgeous black sand beach with beautiful views of the mountains and some super cosy and authentic restaurants.
Restaurante Cielo y Mar
During our walk to Los Gigantes we came past Cielo y Mar, which was packed. It was our initial plan to have dinner there but online it said they were closed, which was a bummer. So, when we coincidentally walked past the restaurant and saw they were open, we instantly thought 'it must have been the universe that led us here!' and figured that would also be a good excuse to eat lobster that evening. The views were breathtaking. We ordered uno litro de sangria tinto and a pan of paella with lobster for two. We honestly looked like fools trying to eat this lobster but that doesn't take away the fact that it was delicious. A definite go to when you're staying in or close to Los Gigantes!
