Delve into the life of Frederic Chopin
The composer Frederic Chopin is the most famous heralded artist in Warsaw. Although he lived for a mere 20 years in the city, it had a profound impact on his life. His body is buried in Warsaw in the Holy Cross Church. Fun fact: Dotted around the city are 15 special Chopin benches. When you press the indicated button to start playing one of his compositions. Stroll around the Lazienki Gardens
A large green oasis in the city of Warsaw and the favorite spot of many locals to have a picnic or hangout on a sunny day. The park contains a few monuments that can be visited: 1. The Palace on the Isle 2. A classic amphitheater 3. The old arangery 4. The Myślewicki Palace Entrance Fee: 40 PLN – One ticket for all the above attractions. The park is free and open 24h! Try traditional Polish Pierogis for lunch
These delicacies are easy enough to find anywhere in town. They usually come with meat stuffing, but some restaurants have now taken to offering vegetarian alternatives. According to a local friend the very best place to try authentic pierogis is Karmnik in Old Town

Visit the museum at the Wilanów Palace
Wilanów Palace was once where King Jan III Sobienski spent his summer. After his death the palace was turned into a museum, the first of its kind in Poland. Having survived the extensive bombing of Warsaw in WWII, this palace is an one of the few remnants of true Polish Baroque still around today. Marvel at the royal gardens before heading inside to be starstruck by all the frescoes and eccentric furniture that make up the character of the palace. Entrance Fee: 25 PLN for the palace and 7 PLN for the park (total ($8)
