Spain
The south of Cantabria
This day is all about hiking in Collados del Asón and discovering a small authentique village in Valle del Asón. Enjoy the untouched nature and Spanish culture in this place situated in Cantabria.

Hike in Collados del Asón
Collados del Asón is a natural park situated in Cantabria, Spain. It consists of high rocks, typical mountain paths and is covered in green forest. The area is very unpopulated which makes the natural park even more serene. We made a hike of 13 km and crossed nobody on our way. The paths are clear but not always well signed. We recommend to use for instance Komoot to follow a prepared hike. Make sure to put your hiking map offline because in some parts, like in between the high rocks, you have no connection. Some paths get very technical so a little bit of hiking experience is a must.
Drive about one hour

Typical small village in Spain
Puentedey is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, situated in the region of Las Merindades. The village is built on a natural bridge of 15 meters high, cut out by the river Nela throughout the years. It’s also called the bridge of God (el Puente de Dios) because people believe it’s God’s work. Discover this small and unique village by foot and walk through the cosy streets and upon the bridge. We spent the night in Puentedey in a nice hotel in Spanish style.
