Venice vibes at La Mer Beach

Trendy restaurants and shops, a beautiful beach, and a boulevard that reminded us of Venice beach in LA, that's what La Mer in Dubai is all about. It takes about 10 minutes to get there by taxi (which are surprisingly quite cheap in Dubai) from the city center, but if you have some extra time, I would definitely recommend going there. It's a very different side of Dubai and a great spot for a cosy lunch or dinner, or even an entire beach day.

Dubai desert safari 🐫

A desert safari is a must-do when visiting Dubai. Even when you're not a big fan of touristy excursions like us, watching the sun set over the red Lahbab dunes is a truly magical experience you cannot miss. We chose Ocean Air Travels as our tour guide because they organized this safari in smaller groups and in one of the moest aesthetic desert camps I came across, all at a relatively reasonable price. From Downtown Dubai, the jeep ride to the desert takes approximately one hour. Once there, your experience starts with some thrilling dune bashing, after which you are free to try some sand boarding or take some unique desert pictures. Next, the beautiful Al Khayma camp awaits you, where you are rewarded with amazing views, a three-course local dinner, and so much more. And ultimately, of course, the most beautiful desert sunset!
