Hill town • beach • pizza

Today we mix some sightseeing with relaxing on the beach. After a delicious breakfast at our B&B, we went out to discover a little hill town called San Pantaleo. In the afternoon we relaxed at a beautiful beach called Capriccioli. To end our day in Porto Cervo with the best pizza ever!

San Pantaleo - cosy Sardinian mountain village

This little hill town is located 20mins from the Costa Smeralda in the northeast of Sardinia. If you are searching for a short getaway from the beaches, this would be a great alternative. The town square has many lunch and aperitivo options and the rocky mountains create a cool backdrop for this cute little town.

Spiaggia Capriccioli (North & East)

Around the peninsula of Capriccioli you’ll find 4 little beaches. From the parking lot (only payed parking in high season June-August) you walk directly to the East beach or the North beach. We preferred the North one because is was less crowded. On the East beach the high end ‘Vesper Beach Club’ fills part of the beach and has loud music playing. If you have plenty of €€€ to spend, you can consider spending the afternoon in this Martini branded beach club. 😉 After cooling down in the emerald water, the rocks separating East and North beach are the perfect setting for a late afternoon photoshoot of these beautiful little bays.

Il Pomodoro - best pizza in Sardinia

If you are a fan of creative, bianco pizza’s: this is your place! We absolutely loved the Bee Pizza. It had Sardinian honey, mozzarella, walnuts, local goat cheese and delicious guanciale bacon on it. Probably one of the best pizza’s we ever ate.
