Cameron Highlands: A refreshing escape
Our escape to the Cameron Highlands was a refreshing change from the tropical heat. Surrounded by rolling tea plantations, cool mountain air, and lush greenery, we explored one of Malaysia’s most scenic highland regions. A peaceful retreat before diving back into the bustle of the lowlands.

Highland trails
From our base at Tekoma Resort, we set out on the popular Trail 10, which offers a manageable hike through lush greenery. Feeling adventurous, we continued onto Trail 6, a more challenging route with steep climbs, scrambles, and rugged descents. Proper sportswear, plenty of water, sunscreen, and insect repellent are a must. The effort was worth it: the trail eventually opened up to breathtaking views over endless tea plantations. We ended our hike at Cameron Tea Valley, where we bought a bracelet to enter the estate, enjoyed a scenic lunch, and picked up a few packs of local tea. After this rewarding adventure, our resort host kindly picked us up and brought us back to Tekoma.

Exploring the highlands by scooter
Renting a scooter directly from our hotel was the perfect way to explore the Cameron Highlands at our own pace. We cruised along winding mountain roads, stopping at scenic viewpoints to soak in the rolling green hills and cool highland air. One of the highlights was visiting Raju’s Hill Strawberry Farm, where we strolled among the strawberry plants and treated ourselves to a deliciously fresh strawberry milkshake. A simple, sweet adventure that made us feel completely free in the highlands.
