The Fairy Tale Route Day 3 - Hessisch Lichtenau and Heilbad Heiligenstadt

Starting the day in Hessisch Lichtenau, we explore the Frau Holle walking route with its fairy-tale sculptures, visit the interactive Holleum museum, and enjoy lunch at Greek taverna Syrtaki before driving through scenic countryside to Heilbad Heiligenstadt, a spa town linked to the Brothers Grimm and author Theodor Storm. Here, we stroll through the Grimm fairy-tale park, and wander the Kurpark with its small waterfall said to inspire Storm’s Regentrude. We visit the gothic St. Marien church, admire the half-timbered houses of Rittergasse, and explore the Theodor Storm Literature Museum. The day ends with dinner at Restaurant Rosmarin and an overnight stay at Wohnmobilplatz Wiesenglück.
