Verkenning van het Grampians National Park
Volgende stop, en een waar ik naar uitkeek. Gelegen in het hart van Victoria, Australië, is het Grampians National Park een bewijs van de adembenemende schoonheid van de natuurlijke landschappen van het land. Met een oppervlakte van meer dan 1.600 vierkante kilometer is dit nationale park een toevluchtsoord voor buitenliefhebbers, met een breed scala aan activiteiten en prachtige uitzichten. Het begint allemaal met de schilderachtige weg naar Halls Gap, een spectaculaire route van 65 kilometer waar je wordt begroet door kangaroes (oh mijn god!), kleurrijke vogels, verbazingwekkende uitzichten na elke bocht en veel groen! Zo mooi.
Nigretta Falls
First day driving the van, heading over to the Grampians. On our way we made a stop at this beautiful nature reserve! It has a big waterfall in between the rocks and a beautiful surrounding landscape. We had lunch here as well. Couldn't sk for a better start of the road trip!
The perfect camping spot in Halls Gap
Camping at Halls Gap Lakeside Tourist Park was a delightful surprise from the moment we arrived. A warm welcome awaited us from the incredibly friendly staff, one of whom hailed from the Netherlands, adding an international touch to our experience. The excitement peaked when we discovered our campervan was stationed right next to an open field where dozens of kangaroos cale together. My jaw dropped every time I opened our van’s door: so mant kangaroos and so close as well! The backdrop looked surreal as well. Beyond the kangaroo encounters, the park itself impressed as well being perfectly maintained, having the perfect location and lots of things to do! You can even go glamping here. The decision to extend our stay was an easy one, the absolute paradise for road trippers if you ask me!
