In Berending Village, a typical Gambian village, we had the privilege of meeting the Jola tribe—an incredibly warm and welcoming community. As we arrived, we were greeted by the joyful laughter of children playing in the sand streets. The women of the village treated us to a vibrant and energetic traditional dance performance, full of rhythm, color, and emotion. Meanwhile, the men provided the music using traditional drums and instruments, filling the air with contagious energy. ✨ The beat was irresistible, and before we knew it, we were dancing alongside them, completely immersed in the rhythm of their culture. Sharing this moment of joy, movement, and music was unforgettable. The authenticity, hospitality, and pride with which the Jola people shared their traditions made this one of the most memorable experiences of our time in The Gambia. 🇬🇲
