Laten we een fiets huren en het gebied van de Landes ontdekken 💚
Je kunt een fiets huren op de camping of in het dorp Contis-Plage. Fietsen is erg populair in dit gebied, dus je vindt altijd een fiets die aan je wensen voldoet. We hebben een deel van de Landes ontdekt door de Velodyssée te fietsen en hebben genoten van onze zonnige dag! We eindigden onze fietstocht met een bezoek aan de Phare de Contis. Daarna hadden we een romantisch diner bij Le Mojo.
Biking trip with kids on the Vélodyssée in the Landes 🚲
How to explore the woods of the Landes in a relaxed way? By bike, of course! Next to Contis, the village where we stayed, you can bike on the Vélodyssée. This route runs next to the Atlantic ocean, all the way from Bretagne to the Basque coast. For an ideal biking trip with kids on the Vélodyssée, start your journey early to make the most of the day. The well-marked and safe paths ensure a stress-free ride for both parents and children. Pack a picnic to enjoy on one of the many scenic spots along the route, where you can take breaks and let the kids play. With stunning ocean views, endless pine forests, and charming coastal villages, the Vélodyssée provides a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation for a memorable family outing.
Climb the Phare de Contis and enjoy the view!
Set in the middle of one of the largest forest in France, this black-and-white-striped tower is a very distinctive monument. Originally entirely white, it was painted with two black stripes to serve as a landmark for daytime navigation. You can visit the lighthouse and climb its 192 steps to enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the Landes! You have the blue of the Atlantic ocean on the on side and the enormous pine forests stretching out on the other side. A fun experience for the whole family. We climbed it with kids between 3 and 11 and they all loved it!
Dinner at Le Mojo, a down-to-earth restaurant with simple but great food in the heart of Contis-Plage
We went on a date without the kids in Contis-Plage and chose this cute, little restaurant. It had great reviews and it didn't dissappoint! Just what we wanted for our date: laid-back vibes, a nice back patio to eat and very good food. I chose the smash burger and it was the best I had in ages. My husband chose the tuna tataki and he was also over the moon. They also have a kids menu if you do decide to bring kids :-), but we very much enjoyed our romantic summer evening on the terrace of Le Mojo!
