Blue lagoon
If you're arriving early the best thing to do is go to the Blue lagoon first! It's located on the way to the city (a 40min drive) or to do it on the day you're leaving. Don't worry about your bags they provide big lockers! Some things to know about the Blue lagoon: You have to book in advance, I'd say book 2-3 weeks in advance to get the timeslot you want and the cheapest price. Prices start at €75 for the comfort package. Which include your entrance (all day), silica mud mask, use of towel and a drink of choice. Bring a waterproof phone case to take all the pictures you want. To all my girls, there will be conditioner in the changing rooms USE IT and tie your hair up! Your hair will be dead for a few days if you're not doing this believe me, big mistake haha! There are going to be a lot of people, but the blue lagoon is BIG so they won't be in your way. The water is suuuper hot, but when you get out of the water it's freezing cold especially in winter, so if you have the extra money I would def spend it on getting a bath robe.
40 minuten rijden terug naar Reykjavik

lunchtime
Did you even visit Iceland if you didn't eat fish&chips? We stumbled on this little restaurant and had to go in, it's not that big but we were so glad we did because I had the best fish&chips ever eaten. My boyfriend ate a traditional plokkari with rye bread (also A MUST) But don't expect eating cheap in Iceland for the fish&chips only we paid €18 lol. So the best thing is if you're roadtripping in Iceland is to cook for yourself. Rent a campervan or stay at an Airbnb where you can cook.

Hallgrimskirkja
This modern church with its beautiful architecture is right in the city centre of Reykjavik. Visiting the church is for free, but you can also see the stunning view from above. Ofcourse not for free, we paid €7 each. You'll have to make the decision for yourself if it's worth it or not, but in my opinion it was really beautiful to see all the colorful houses from above.

Flea market
If you’re in Reykjavik on a saturday or sunday there is a big indoor flea market called “Kolaportid” open from 11-17pm. If it’s a rainy day this is the ideal thing to do if you love going to big flea markets like I do! They sell lots of stuff like clothes, souvenirs, vintage stuff, even food

The best cinnamon bunns ever
I still dream about them, I’d probably eaten 10 of them whilst I was there they were SO good and had so many flavours to choose from! You even saw them making it ugh so yum. They had blueberry flavor, pistachio, vanilla,… €4 each 📍braud&co

Cheapest dinner
Well when I say “cheapest” I mean cheap for Iceland 😅 For €4 you can have an Icelandic hot dog from Baejarins beztu pylsur, it looks sketchy but believe me the hotdogs are amazing, we went for several times because they were just so good and “cheap”. You can’t really miss it there will be alot of people waiting in line 😉
