Visit Dantewada Land of Angels Waterfall Park

Just a 45-minute drive from Chiang Mai you’ll find Dantewada Land of Angels Waterfall Park, a man-made attraction that has a lot to offer. Despite initial skepticism, we were pleasantly surprised! There’s such a vibrant atmosphere and natural charm looming over this park. It boasts picturesque waterfalls, winding pathways, colorful flower fields, ... So pretty (and refreshing). The place is also super kid-friendly, with multiple playgrounds and lots of cute animals to admire. You will definitely spend multiple hours here, just because it has a little bit of everything. Admission is only 80 baht (approximately € 2), too, so nothing that breaks the bank!

Tijd om terug te keren naar de stad, 50 minuten met de scooter.

Lunch at the best restaurant in Chiang Mai

Northern Thai cuisine truly hits different, that’s why we take you to Its Good Kitchen. It is our favorite restaurant in the city and specializes in local dishes. You won’t find any pizzas here, that’s for sure! We found this place on our first day in Chiang Mai and returned several times after that. And oh, did we tell you yet that this place is really budget-friendly ? We never spent more than 500 baht here for the two of us, drinks included!

Visit Wat Chedi Luang

Time for a little culture! Step back in time and marvel at the beauty of Wat Chedi Luang, a historic Buddhist temple dating back to the 14th century. Despite centuries of history and several renovations, the temple's glory remains intact. There are impressive statues everywhere, our favorites being the elephants coming out of the walls. Really cool to see, and amazing how they built this all these centuries ago! Whilst the main chedi is the most impressive thing here, it can be both fun and informative to explore the temple grounds, too. We checked out two viharns, some temples, and a reclining Buddha! Admission is just 50 baht (approximately € 1,30), great value for money.

Loop 20 minuten naar de laatste stop van de dag. We hopen dat je honger hebt ;-)

End your day at the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar

End your day with a visit to the legendary Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, where shopping and dining come together in a vibrant atmosphere. We absolutely loved it here! It was so fun to browse through an array of stalls offering everything you can think of. They literally have it all, from traditional souvenirs to trendy fashion items, and of course: food. The seating area can be found in the center of the market, with a diverse selection of Thai and international food stalls spread around it. We tried a lot of things here, but the dishes that stuck with us are some amazing chicken tacos, super fresh and original sushi, and Thai crispy pancakes to end our night with something sweet. ;-) In addition to all that, we also ordered some cheap (€ 2) cocktails from the bar and they were surprisingly good! With endless options for shopping and dining, the night bazaar is the perfect place to end your day. Enjoy!
