Journée relaxante à Pompéi
Avant de rentrer chez nous, nous avons profité d'une matinée relaxante dans notre suite de luxe au FOUR Pompéi. Nous avons fait une promenade dans la charmante ville de Pompéi et visité la cathédrale et son clocher pour terminer notre voyage par une dernière pizza.
Breakfast at our balcony
With the best pasticceria across the street, we went for a take-away breakfast to enjoy our last hours in our luxury suite. Nothing beats an Italian espresso, some fresh orange juice and a 'cornetto amarena' or cherry-filled croissant in English.
Pompei from above
At the main square of Pompei you will find the 'Santuario di Pompei' - a cathedral - with its bell tower. At certain hours during the day you can enter the bell tower and take the elevator 80 metres to the top. Once arrived at the top you can enjoy a 360° view over Pompei all the way to Naples and the mountains of Amalfi. One of the most special things to see is the Archeological park of Pompei with Mount Vesuvius in the back. Once we are back with our feet on the ground, we went into the cathedral to see the detailed decorations inside the domes.
Our last pizza Napolitana
No better way to end our trip to the birthplace of pizza than eating one more. Below our B&B their is a traditional pizza restaurant: Le Delizie. So before checking out and picking up our suitcases to leave for the airport, we went in for a quick bite.
