Snow Monkey Park

Continue your hike through thick pine forest along the Yokoyu river to Snow Monkey National Park where you will be greeted by the Jigokudani Funsen Fountain, a powerful natural geyser shooting hot waters tens of meters up in the sky. Here in the hope of spotting some snow monkeys, we arrived in fall which apparently meant the monkeys were out mating in the bush and hadn't been spotted for over a week. However, luck was on our side and right when we were about to leave, we spotted 3 resident snow monkeys playing around on the rooftops. Mission accomplished after all!
