Lovely morning in Syracuse

Spent the morning in my favorite city of Sicily: Syracuse. Park your car at Parcheggio Molo Sant Antonio, and from there, walk to Ortigia (the most authentic and beautiful part of the city). Stroll around the alleys and make sure to also take a dip in the blue sea. I loved the rock/platform ‘Spiaggia Diana nel Forte’. Could spend all day here!

Lunch at Anchovies

So many restaurants to choose from in Syracuse, yet you have to watch out for the typical touristy ones! I 100% recommend the terrace of Anchovies - close to the sea but away from the big crowds at the same time. Heard only Italian voices here, and that’s a great sign!

Check in at Casa Balat, designer heaven

Two Italian brothers recently opened Casa Balat, a holiday home with a beautiful design. One of the brothers is an architect and you can see that in every corner of the house. It’s a very rustic & small house in the middle of nowhere - just be aware that if you book just a single room, you will see the other guests in the kitchen and pool area too.

Sunset aperitif and gastronomical dinner 🍽️

Tonight’s a special night - we booked an aperitif and dinner at Dimora delle Blaze, a luxurious boutique hotel in the middle of Val di Noto. A higher price, but you get a stunning view and really amaaazing dinner in return. Perfect to true foodies!
