Il n'est pas courant de tomber sur un site archéologique gratuit et non clôturé, mais en Oman, vous pouvez ! Garez votre voiture au bord de la route et marchez jusqu'aux tombes en ruche, que vous voyez alignées au sommet d'une colline de loin. On estime que les tombes ont entre 4000 et 5000 ans.

Looking for Oman’s most hidden wadi

A short drive from the Beehive Tombs is Wadi Damm, where we go searching for natural pools. ‘Wadi’ means ‘valley’ in Arabic and ‘damm’ roughly translates as ‘hidden’. And this wadi does live up to its name! Reaching the smaller pools is easy. The ones for swimming are located further down the gorge, behind the huge boulder. Finding the path is quite challenging so look out for arrows on the rocks that mark the trail. Stay to the right and as high as you can to reach the most beautiful pool, where you should arrive after 45 minutes. The incredible rock formations with a variety of colours and the clear pools make it worth every effort!
