Randonnée dans Wadi Ghuweir
Onze volgende stop was in Dana, waar we verbleven in het Dana Eco Camp. Met een prachtig uitzicht, degelijke kamers en alles goed geregeld, was dit een fijn verblijf met een goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Vanuit het kamp was het ook heel gemakkelijk om enkele uitstapjes te regelen. We deden de Wadi Ghuweir trail, een prachtige hike door de kloof van het Dana-gebergte.
Wadi Ghuweir trail
From our stay in the Dana Eco Camp we arranged a trip to Wadi Ghuweir, to do a guided trail. The difficulty of the trail is fairly easy, but be prepared to get wet feet. So don't wear your best pair of sneakers like some girls from our group did ☺ The hike kicks off at the start of the gorge, but the further you will go, the more water you'll encounter and therefore also some oasis-like scenery on the rocks. The trail has a nice diversity of scenery, with stunning views across the road. The total hike is around 12 kilometres, with the last 3-4 through a flat valley to get back to the road where you'll get picked up.
