Lac le plus célèbre des Dolomites : Lago di Braies
Ce matin, nous nous sommes réveillés dans le chalet de montagne confortable. Après le petit-déjeuner, nous sommes partis vers la Val Fiscalina à Sexten. Cette partie de la randonnée était principalement en descente, nous conduisant dans la vallée où notre navette nous attendrait vers 10h30. Le trajet en navette a duré environ 40 minutes, nous amenant à l'un des lacs les plus célèbres des montagnes.
Descent to Val Fiscalina
The day began with a steep descent through the beautiful mountains. The morning sun made it all little more magical. We made our way down to the valley of Val Fiscalina, where we arrived by 10:30 AM. Here we waited for our transfer to take us to the next spot. • Distance: 5 km • Descent: 1540m
Lago di Braies
The shuttle ride took us to one of the most iconic spots in the Dolomites: Lago di Braies. Known for its azure blue waters and charming rowboats, this lake is one of Italy's most famous and beautiful. Seeing it in person was high on my list. It was very crowded, so I guess it’ better to come as early as possible. We hiked around the lake on a 5km long walking path, and enjoyed our lunch next to the lake!
Hike or relax
After the Lago we had two options: start hiking, or make your way to the hotel by public transport. Since the first two days really tired us out, we chose the second option. We slept at an hotel since the foreseen Pederü Hut was overbooked.
